Vivian French worked in childrens tehatre for ten years before establishing herself as a storyteller. In 1988 she began to write for children has has written numerous books since then. Highlights include Caterpillar, Caterpillar which was shortlisted for the Emil/Kurt Maschler Award and A Song for Little Toad shortlisted for the Smarties Prize. She has written three books about Morris, the fat cat as well as Guinea Pigs on the Go and Guinea Pigs at Sea for Collins.,
